When I grow up, I think I would like to be an actress. The responsibilities of an actress are being prepared for auditions. You have to have a monolog, solo, and a dance if you are auditioning for a musical theme or Broadway, (which I am aiming for,) to the judges, which are usually the director, manager, and the choreographer. Other responsibilities are that you must be responsible about learning your lines, songs, and dances, even if you are an extra. It is a lot of work.

The earnings of a very successful actor have extraordinarily high earnings. Median hourly wages of actors were $16.59 in May 2008. The middle 50 percent earned between $9.81 and $29.57. Actors Equity Association (AEA), which represents stage actors, has converted minimum weekly salary requirements for their members. Salaries vary depending on the theater or venue the actor is employed in.

Formal dramatic training, either through an acting conservatory or a university program, generally is necessary for these jobs. Most people studying for a bachelor's degree take courses in radio and television broadcasting, communications, film, theater, drama, or dramatic literature. Many stage actors continue their academic training and receive a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree. Advanced curricula may include courses in stage speech and movement, directing, playwriting, and design, as well as intensive acting workshops. The National Association of Schools of Theatre accredits over 150 programs in theater arts.

I choose this job because it is something I LOVE! My parents even told me when I was little I was a born actress. Singing, dancing, and acting are my favorite things to do. When I grow up, I hope than my plans continue as I plan then, but if I do not become an actress I hope to become a music teacher. I love anything I do in this category of the artsgabbi_Cloud
